i need someone to run it back for me because:
1. wasn’t jihan always completely transparent with jinyeong about not wanting something romantic with him?
2. doesn’t jinyeong go on dates with women his mother sets him up with and does nothing to discourage this or her behavior?
3. isn’t jinyeong’s mother verbally abusive to jihan?
like i’m confused as to why he would chose jinyeong in the end or why y’all would expect him to? he’s already had one fucked up relationship. of course he is gonna chose the guy that’s completely enamored with him and whose family is going to be accepting of them!
don’t get me wrong, i want jinyeong to be happy!! i want him to find someone who will be everything he needs but it’s been kinda alluded since the beginning that jinyeong and jihan aren’t meant to be. they could never work. and if you didn’t catch that….. idk bestie. maybe we need to work on comprehension skills and reading between the lines.
also, jihan is allowed to care for jinyeong!!! they were in a situationship for how long? of course you develop some kinda feeling for someone you spend so much time with. that’s not odd behavior, that’s HUMAN behavior.
i’m saying!! people here in mngago are absolutely vile because in other sites they had no problem with jihan being anxious about jinyeong ignoring him, they were sympathizing with jihan because people are allowed to mourn broken friendships too!!
i should also state, i do not condemn jinyeong for ignoring jihan after he was ghosted. good for him - i would have done that too. i just think we need to remember that feelings/emotions and relationships (romantic, sexual or platonic) are complex and not always black or white, even that of fictionally drawn characters.
both of them are dealing with this the way they think is appropriate even if there are better more grown up ways to deal with it.
no like… i was a mngago only reader up until this year. i’ve spent YEARS on here. when i finally went to another site (bc mnggo didn’t have the manga here) it was like a breath of fresh air seeing the comments. like finally some thinkers! mnggo has a different breed of readers, the sympathy and critical thinking skills sometimes are just…. nonexistent.

The part that i think Jihan can't take it anymore and was thinking abt his decision to leave Jinyeong completely, is the part where he get constant harassment from Jinyeong's mom. He's not coming from a lovely household, if we understand where's Jihan coming from, it makes sense if we want to end things with Jinyeong. Imagine a mom calling you names and said you RUINED his son's life. LIKE??!! YOUR SON IS THE ONE THAT CAN'T LEAVE ME ALONE, HELLO??!
On top of their situationship, like... THAT LONG, Jinyeong CAN'T even stand up for Jihan, the man he said he cherish and loves so much?! Can you, a son from a rich family, completely cut-off ties with your family, assumed that you won't got any support financially from your family again, got no backup, can you stand up and still support Jihan emotionally? Can you be there for him and protect him from your own mom's harassment? Can you go, not against your own family but also a harsh homophobic society? I mean if he got balls, he will completely cut things off with him mom and speak to his mom abt the constant harassment Jihan get from her.

rereading this again because all my favs are on hiatus or between seasons and i still can’t believe the character arc that jaehyuk does. it’s so ridiculous but in a way that’s completely believable for someone as ridiculous as him. like only he would go from homophobic dude bro to gay house husband in the span of 10 episodes
yall want him to change from one chapter to the next when this is a man with an ego and pride triple his size. let’s be realistic in that his apology, his acknowledgment to his wrong doings and his over character arc will probably be baby steps for a minute
