I read the novel a long time ago. His husband tracked her, she almost died but the husband fall off the cliff on a running train. He was then declared as officially dead. People morn for her husband and she refused to accept it. He resurfaced after a year (I think) but as an assassin by, I forgot who the person was. He was threatened using his wife. But he gathered things he can use to blackmail his way out. To make the story short, they got out of the organization and got married for the third time.

Honestly I was getting a little tired with the pacing too and got bored and re-read from the beginning. The pacing isn’t bad at all actually I just think we’ve all be here since early chapters and are worn down
