This is such a strange bl to me. Like it left off with PLENTY of loose ends, especially introducing what felt like a secondary ml in the SPIN OFF. Not even touching the shooting and raping, cuz like. Idk where to even begin. But it WAS compelling. There were times when I enjoyed the dynamic because it felt like Caesar was learning... only to lose it all in one fell swoop and never come back from it.

Even worse when in the spinoff you can literally pin point the moment that jeong was starting to feel genuinely miserable not just being mistreated by caesar, but over all being near him. The only time they genuinely reached their peak again was when they were hunting each other, if only cuz jeong actually matched caesar's crazy, which i think is the sticking point. It felt the author couldn't tell if they wanted jeong to be influenced by caesar or vice versa, ended up with two very different people who are always butting heads and end up consistently hurting each other. Its not fun to read.

The author is taunting me by not including shut yet still joking about them having sex and ending up in suggestive poses...

Frankly, as someone who does struggle with topics of rape and agreed with the disgust towards including it in so many bl stories... I don't think this is the worst instance of it? Like, this was never a feel-good story to begin with, and the seeds of the crime were sowed a while ago since the Reverend was introduced.

Not to mention, I think Manuel's reaction to the situation felt very realistic, as well as Miller's response to it, due to their personalities and relationship. Many people do try to pretend it wasn't a big deal and act like nothing happened, especially when it was from a person they genuinely trusted. Miller himself may have been a bit too harsh with Manuel, specially being a victim, but it feels in line with his character. He's direct, but you saw how quickly he ran to check on Manuel.

The situation or writing is not perfect, but it's a far better depiction of rape than anything I've seen in a while. I'm sure the Reverend will be brought to justice soon. Because SOME BLs just straight up pretend like nothing even happened.

Can agree the plot was mid, the seme ended up being pretty annoying with his overall selfishness concerning uke, whether in sex or their relationship. (He had a 40% chance of actually listening and waiting for consent from the uke it was crazy)

But goddammit, hyuno was sexy as fuck and he's not even my type. DOJIN is closer to my type, but i kinda tuned him out in favor of hyuno during the sex scenes.

I feel like the uke suddenly feels 10x more masculine the moment he takes off his clothes? Perhaps its me too used to ukes being skin and bones while having the most feminine face, but the uke has that lean build that makes sense for his sport and I consistently forget that's how he looks like when hes wearing the baggier clothes. It catches me off guard but I like it.
