given how overly dramatic and angsty people say volumes 2 and 3 become, I'm going to stop reading after volume 1 because I think there's at least a happy ending from what little Japanese I know...idk ┗( T﹏T )┛

yea, I looked at the raws and it's over the top surprising where this seemingly sweet story goes.
There is a volume 4. It is already released in paper version but not yet in ebook. Wait to see how it unfolds before giving up. Volume 2 is fine. It is in volume 3 where there is a disturbing situation

tbh, maiko-chan is probably my favorite character from this story
mine too! she never flattered in her character. She got what she wanted and she stood by what she believe in as messed up as it was she acknowledged that and she didn't judge others, I also love that even when she hated Nii-chan she didn't stop Yui and just stood by him never leaving, like a true friend! I love her!(▰˘◡˘▰) soory I ranted on your post I couldn't resist.

I think this deserves a much higher rating. Both the art and the storyline are beautiful and elegant. Definitely worth reading!
The hair colors of the head butler (Kudo) and the young master (Jirou) are so similar I almost thought they were the same person until I read the comments and re-read the manga. Then I was like OH IT MAKES SO MUCH MORE SENSE

for everyone who's confused by the age difference not adding up, I read the raws and what seijiro (older dude) said was that ryou (high schooler) has a likeable way of doing things/demeanor that doesn't make him (sei) feel the difference of being a zodiac cycle (一回り hitomawari) apart in age and ryo got really close to him because of it. so sei didn't actually say that they're exactly twelve years apart in age, but kind of like there's at least 12 years between us
