I started crying in chapter 53 and then continued to sob my way through all the side stories because WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK I AM SO PISSED. Is it a happy ending? I’m genuinely asking because I am mad at what they had to go through! They are obviously victims and it’s just so fucking unfair to me that MC had to live 35 years of hell alone. He must have been so lonely and then to make the decision he made to Hope to be with ML in th future. To wake up after 200 years! All their friends are dead, everything they knew, gone. They literally only have eachother that’s FUCKING SAD . That’s not romantic (╯°Д °)╯╧╧. I want to burn those fucking pea brain scientists alive! This story made me depressed I literally can’t stop thinking about how absolutely horrible this situation would be. I hope they go on to be happy, I really wish the author would have shown some semblance that the ML will be happy in the future but no, we leave him when his life is still a mess and he doesn’t know what to do with his freedom. MC barely acknowledges or shares the literal TRAUMA he must have went through for those 35 years and when he does touch on it I feel like it really wasn’t explored enough or ML never truly understands what it was like. Also, DIMITRI . I said a lot but to sum it all up, this story left me feeling sad, crying, and pissed off, a little happy they are getting married but dreading their future because it looks bleak at the moment. Mc trauma is now my trauma because I am never going to be able to forget this feeling. This is banana fish all over again for me.
As the translator, what I was feeling the author was trying to convey for the last chapter is that despite the fact that it is 200 years later, because the two have each other, they will be happy. Even though ML felt like he had no purpose in life, he believed that he knew he would be alright and knew that he would be happy as long as Yoon was there with him. It's kind of like when Yoon as asking to ML in his head "is he happy with me?" The ending gave the impression that the ML was saying "YES! I am happy with you and I want to prove it to you by being with you forever ". That's just me though lol. I am also sad about the age gap and completely refused to think about the future... I also do feel sad about Dmitry as well but I believe he had already come to peace with how things were going to turn out.
