should I read this? I read up to chapter 23 and dont get me wrong, it was cute I guess but not nearly good enough to garner a 9.6 rating. The story seems kinda all over the place and the quality of the pages was constantly fluctuating . Does it get better?
Most of the chapter of their marriage life are one shots. The chapters that are linked together (with plotlines) are the story of how they met and fell in love. The angel x demon (class president x horndog) is the story about taiya's friend and his lover that happened around the same time as his and tian cai's love story happened. It's not really a manhua for everyone since its sorta slow burn and also slice of life so nothing much really goes on, but its super cute and the art style is *chef's kiss* The translation is sorta tacky, I'm a native chinese speaker so its all easier for me to understand (and also I can just read the raw if something is confusing). I'm thinking about retranslating it because the original translation is hard to understand ;-;
If you looking for a coherent story there is none. This is similar to a style of short comic that depict a slice of life story about short and simple event. Kinda like Doraemon style of story telling. So my advice to you is.... don’t take these stories seriously. Don’t make it seem like a novel, or a full length movie. Consider it like snack that you eat something for fun... you will enjoy this wayyyyyy better than you think you will if you just... you know... letting go
Maybe I'm just in a bad mood but is it just me who thinks this book has gotten progressively worse? The storyline is definitely interesting but I find myself caring less and less each week. The characters also look kinda stiff sometimes. Please feel free to unlike if you disagree, I just need a second opinion ╥﹏╥
LMAO WHAT AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO STILL DISLIKES THE PRINCE?!?!
Because you haven’t witnessed their interactions later on. He’s not only funny(in a sadistic, psycho kind of way) but he’s also very whipped(and later on very devoted) for Penelope.
Okay but that means I have every right to didlike him right? Right now, all he's really done is threaten and attempt to kill the FL. If he becomes likeable then good for him but at this point in the story, I can't see why anyone who hasn't read ahead would want him to be the MLヽ(`Д´)ノ
Tru tru. When i first read the novel, i disliked him too because of how he treated our bb penelope but dont worry, he's gonna have some character development hahahaha
sorry to be that person but can i get the link for the novel
I generally dislike him even in the novel but her options pool is really limited...
Every one of the MLs has been an ass to her at some point except Vinter and he can't accept for...reasons. I guess from her very narrow selection pool (brothers out coz they're family), eclipse's oopsie and vinter possibly walking off the face of the planet...
Some type of spoiler.

apparently Vinter betrays her in the future...doesn't trust her or something. Honestly Kallisto is the best option because he's seriously funny in the future and then whipped. He's just got trust issues as we can see from his family.Doesn't excuse his shitty behaviour now but he's the best option not because he's slightly better but simply because of major character development.
Definitely one of my perfect husband ML list!
Spoiler to spoiler!

I know he does that whole using her as bait/testing her to see if she was a spy bit but that wasn't exactly abuse? He has good reason to be sus too, MC suddenly shows lost magic powers out of nowhere, esp when magic children have been going missing. That and the brainwashed kids showing up just and MC advocating for them - either she's geniunely good or she's using pawns to gain his trust, he really couldn't tell at first.
He doesn't betray her per-se but I guess it's also true that while they might make good friends, they don't have too much chemistry. Even towards the end, I think he's mostly motivated by guilt - not a good foundation for any relationship.
Same, as of right now, he's still an asshole
