There’s no mistake with the translation as far as I am concern. The word “高校生” or koukoisei in romanji translates to high school student.
The story telling of the author is a bit confusing, I also got confused with the timeline based on their lines. In Ch5, Oto implied that they haven’t had sex until he got his heat and Shuga got his rut. Yes, he knew right before that that Shuga’s a high schooler (the next line is by no means I am justifying what happened, just explaining things as some of you kept telling you hope this is translation error), he only knew it right before their one week in bed. He decided not to break up cause he wanted to stay with Shuga, Oto already have feelings for Shuga, but their heat came. Oto mentioned that they completely ignored their reason during their heat. He broke up with him right after because he knew what happened was wrong. Then figured out he was pregnant.
