I feel like the father doesn’t have a lot of consistency. She was a little nice to him when she got her memories of her past life and broke up with that one dude, then suddenly he wants to eat dinner with her and go shopping. Doesn’t make sense though because in the novel or whatever she had been dumped by the makhail guy and her father didn’t care or do anything. He didn’t show up to her debutante. And even when she was crying and begging for her father to believe her, he handed her a dagger and threw her in the cell. In reality even if she had her past life memories and acted differently he would only change a little. Not to that extent.
I agree. I also get why he gave her a dagger at then end and I can see that he was trying to save her but in her past life she was upset, asked for her father, and tried to get his attention and nothing
I’m like 100% sure the fact that in the beginning she was like “oh the author stopped updating the novel so I wish I could have known the ending” means
First: The father’s actions towards her was a misunderstand/miscommunication for he had always loved her. It just didn’t seem like that on our end since in that novel the perspective was on her point not his or whatever
Second: the crown prince meeting her in the shadow realm whatever was meant to save her not torture her since he yelled “Wait Stop” but she killed herself
Third: Max mentioned in his head that his teacher aka the Father, would always talk about her. You can tell that Max has known his teacher since he was young, as young as her. WHICH brings me back to my first point as in he has always loved her.
Yeah I don’t disagree that he always loved her, but even as a child when she would aproach him he would come off as cold and she would cry, it was obvious he never comforted her, and he never came to her birthdays, I’m just saying that he wouldn’t change as much as he is now when she is showing interest and affection towards him. He would have acted the same maybe even a little bit different. Still would have loved her, but not have acted like that.
No I agree that he always loved her and I also agree with the fact that the dad was gonna have the crown prince help Save her but she interpreted wrong.
But I feel like he’s being more obvious about his love now when our MC isn’t even trying if u get what I mean. Becaue in her past life she was upset about her father not being home, she tried to get his attention and she didn’t get anything but coldness in return. And if the father was always getting reports on her wouldn’t he have known she was upset or lonely without him, when he was gone. Especially when she was a child becaue she vocalized those feeling even more then ?

But the thing is, the king would also controlled him. You can see how he deadass told the father say in the palace for a couple days until the assassin was gone. The king would literally hold the father back 24/7 because he knows his weakness which is the mc.
Things when he doesn’t show up to many events could be because of that reason which brings me back to how he has always loved her. The inconsistency of the past and the present can also be due to how she was the one who broke up first and then after “cried” about it.
I’ve been using this site for a couple years and to this day do not understand the feed, forums and comments. I’m glad they’re back though.

I wish the plot was a bit better. It’s extremely similar to who made me a princess. I also don’t like the characters contradictory actions.
