In the fan translation, I thought Tay basically indulges Ilay and says “I like you” which makes Ilay blush.
But the official translation is different??
Cause no way Tay just claimed that Ilay likes him and Ilay just accepts it?!?
it was translated wrong in the fan translation - in korean sometimes sentences can be vague because you don’t need to use a subject/object (so literally you can just use the verb ‘like’ without specifying who is doing the liking and/or what it is that is being liked lmao)
but usually context clues will let you know what they’re referring to, so in this case the sentence taeui says before specifies (with subject and object) ‘*you* like *me*, right?’, and after ilay says ‘what?’, and then taeui is doubling down by saying, ‘you like me’ (alternatively translated to ‘i said, you like me’ to emphasize the taeui is doubling down)
as a caveat, the word play still exists where, in connection to ilay previously saying ‘say you like me’, taeui could be telling ilay he likes him as well (the wonders of not using subjects and objects in korean lol). it’s meant to be vague on purpose, so i kinda take back saying that the fan translation is wrong definitively.

JUST BE HONEST and COMMUNICATE
Why the hell is Jaeha going through all of this crap for Taegun’s sake when all Taegun wants is to be with him?!
I liked this at first because we finally have a bottom MC who’s not a wimp and an ML who’s not an ass and somehow a continuous lack of communication becomes the major conflict smh
