im a bit bored of this “black hair/black eyes/tan/dark skin = bad omen” trope. i feel like it’d makes more sense if she had blood red eyes and they create a superstition around that since it’s really really rare even in real life. a bit ironic honestly because im sure over 90% of japanese population are born with black hair. a bit funny that this trope is common considering that statistics
