i love the characters but i am sooooo sad that the author chose this kind of torture/sufferings to make character development. when the theme of the story shouldve been a bit less off-putting. It turned immensely dark and guess what i bet that the duke will be sad about what happened to jace and he regretted what he did to him. If the author made the story darker, I'LL TAKE IT. im not a psycho or anything but it'd be nice to have the duke be angry at jace then fire him. Because honestly? that is the best for jace rn.
