I wouldn't say he or Rebecca fully dumps the Prince's faction any more than they have now. More like they are just doing their best to make their own world despite society's rules. Again, this is what I've seen from the raws and I can't read Korean but after Arth proposes, imagery of Rebecca and the MC being lovey dovey pops up as he speaks. This gives the impression that he's proposing to her out of love but also as a way for her and Rebecca to be together after Rebecca becomes the queen. Again, this is just what I've gleaned from the imagery from the raws.
I'm staring to rly dislike the emperor y'all. I'm not saying he should free her father just cuz he likes her but he shouldve at least told her his plans cuz it involves HER FATHER.
