Oh man, his mother is so selfish and unsympathetic....gosh...i know its not easy to be a parent but flat out saying "i want to keep loving you, help me to do that", being disgusted by them is fucking soul crashing to a kid, no matter how old.
(My mother is the complete opposite, she is a very loving and a gentle parent so it always makes me so sad when someone is treated badly by their mom/dad)

Agreed. Her and Haesoo seem to be the most toxic relationship. She already divorced Dad, so they are brothers anymore, but her selfishness is having her put her own potential happiness before her childs. She has this idea that she deserves to be with the father more than Haesoo does with the son, manipulating him with pleas and begs.

I am being realistic? I get it. It's fucking weird and upsetting. She has the right to be mad and maybe even disgusted. But as a PARENT, you should know better than to openly blame your child for your divorce. Instead of being a good parent and being worried about her son's well-being or even the well-being of the whole family, she goes immediately into me me me mode. Honestly, considering how Haesoo acted out in high school and how he is now, it's not surprising that she's not the best parent.
The mother doesnt know how toxic is their relatioship, so thats aside. The mother knew her son is gay, and shes mad because he was with the other son, i get it, it would be weird, maybe i would be mad, but i would talk about, talk it with my husband, but not blame it on my son! Guys, you kinda misunderstood my point. I didn't say she's selfish or unsympatethic because she wants to be happy. No, thats completly fine. But the way she handled the situation and her demeanor toward her own son, the way she talked to him about this is upsetting for me.
Imagine yourself in his place. You're pretty young and make a stupid mistake and your parents instead of helping you just says "well i kinda hate you now + you're physically disgust me". I don't say a parent should support all your bullshit, but they should support you and help you correct your mistake instead of blaming everything on you.
I agree with you 100%. It's even worse that after all these years, she keeps making the same mistake. She still blames Haesoo for her divorce and she doesn't hesitate to remind him of her thoughts. Even good parents make mistakes, but then they work hard to make amends and to never make those mistakes again. Haesoo's mom clearly only cares for her own happiness and wants to push the blame for her unhappiness onto someone else.
