Just saw that there will be a vertical adaption of this, and its supposed to come out on October 8th. Looks like a reread is in order.
Ai is such a child. It's amost annoying the hoops he leaps to to come to the exact wrong decision. I'm only on ch 3 but he's got it in his mind that Okumi is bored with him and doesn't want to stay with him from the fact that he called him multiple times throughout the day and ask about his friends and plans...like wtf.
Honestly Morinaga giving a marriage proposal before he even gets an "I love you" is just because he's been letting Souichi slide without ever giving him the title of boyfriend. I've been reading the mange for decades now and the only one that's hasn't progressed that much is Souichi. Sad to say I think something very bad will need to happen to Morinaga for Souichi to finally pull he head out of his ass. I mean he got injured with the stalker plotline but I'm thinking serious injury, hospital stay, and Souichi not being able to get any details because in the eyes of everyone he just his "roomate". Souichi needs to face serious consequences and not keep taking Morinaga for granted.
I know he did not just ask this man to marry him when dude still hasn't even said the words "I love you" after (our) 20 years of this manga...
Wow I heard good things about this but I just found them both kinda idiotic and frustrating. Cute story overall but still idiots.
Ugh everyone is being nice and accomadating to Morinaga's mom but I really, really need Souichi to be straigh-forward and mean to her just like he was with Morinaga's bother. They literally made his life hell, year after year after year because of their own prejudices and "reputation" rather than care for their own child. Please for the love of everything let Souichi set this woman straight.
For the love of god tell me they'll get the cops in the next chapter please. I've read too many stories like this where it is attempted, or even full out done, and no one calls the cops afterwards. Like no people, call the freaking cops. Stuff like that just keeps reinforcing to people, mostly women, that those type of crimes are not taken seriously...
