I agree unless the story, makes a plot point saying shes actually the same person, this just feels very sad and horribly written. To think she feels that comfortable to take over someone else's life that easily is a fucking joke, and i'll just feel more horrible for the real wife.
But I think that's the point, she is not the person he should apologize to, so it's unfair he keeps saying it to her when she will never be able to accept it as it's not intended to her

Stories like these that ignores emotional weight, and psychological reasons, creates a huge emotional disconnection with readers.
The thing is, even lets say that she can't accept his apologies, she still didn't have the right to stop him, because this sends a completely different signal towards the ML, meaning he gets to start a new conscience thinking everything is alright because she already said to stop right? The MC gets the emotional payoff and the "perfect husband" arc without having earned it or suffered through his past cruelty, which is awful.

i get what you’re saying but to be honest he didn’t really do anything to her compared to her step mother who actually abused her. yeah, he didn’t meet up with her for two years of their marriage but he just respected her boundaries because the original female lead didn’t even want to meet up with him herself because she was depressed. the things he did that was rude was actually everything he did to the female lead who possessed her body. she should have let him apologize & repent for that if we have to be honest here because he did that to her. majority of the original owners body’s abuse & trauma comes from her step mother not the male lead so hopefully the og fl gets her justice correctly from how they handle that situation.
