I just really hated the way the story portraited women. As a feminist and a woman I don't think we are week. (That is just one of the hundreds of problems I had with this manga)
The story never talked about women being weak , just because a character is being portrayed in way with the thought out plot carrying the multiple complex emotional layers. It never mentions a women's differences with man rather shows the victims helplessness and the tendency of them building differences ( or any other means) as a measure to put themselves at ease rather than facing it. It was never about women strength or feminism , the complete portrayal was about the standing emotional complexity in any living being. The boy had his own floods and the women was sailing on her own ship in the sea yet they met and threw out their thoughts at each other.
Being a man I can gravely relate to this manga, how I had to face things like this because I was uncomfortable with the sense of sharing touch with my crush at the age of 15 but then I was branded as shy, wussy and whatnot. People have their own mental capacities and way to face things eventually. Life sure threw stones at you to challenge and circumstances where either you learn all by yourself or get helped out..
( Sadly sometimes get broken)
Please think about each chapter more intently putting different perspectives in mind man - women - LGBTQ .
The manga is beautiful and great. I just pieced it since I thought your way of thinking didn't resembled in any sense with the manga. Anyhow you may disagree but that on you.
I would never agree this manga had anything to do with women empowerment or feminism. It a blend .. I wish I could put my heart out in more words but I am unable to comprehend them with wit.
"Thank you for your guidance" It's the absolute disrespect for me (︶︿︶)=凸
