Let's say Han Maru know how the Subjugation rakshasha's ability works (the loophole) all the subjugated subjects had their minds connected directly to the hive mind (Subjugation rakshasha) so it's like many tunnels that lead to the same place (just how a tunnel work, you could reach poin A by going through from poin B and vice versa). So Han Maru activate his ability by entering his subordinate's consciousness to get into the Subjugation rakshasha mind (that giant with many branches on the head) in order to create an illusion where she thought she had win and took Han Maru to hell
That's why the Subjugation rakshasha let her guard down for a moment so Han Maru could find an opening to attack
