This story wasn’t hard to get into, usually I struggling getting into stories because it just majority of the time uninteresting in the beginning but I didn’t have a problem with this one because of the dynamic of the two, I like that they had an excuse to constantly be around each other because yian is his butler, they characters work so well together but I feel like the angst with jaekwon and his family could’ve come sooner, because by the time it came the story felt like it was getting dragged out and I think it’s because yian and jaekwon took forever to confess to each other mostly at jaekwon sa fault cuz he knew how yian felt and never said anything which was frustrating, the whole thing that went down with jaekwon and his parents I don’t understand because it felt boring so I rushed ngl but it was worth it cuz I got to see Jei, at first when she was conceived I felt it was out of place in the story but the way there was a time skip to where to became a toddler really helped, I just love that the couple is so happy with each other and their little family and they didn’t have an trust issues arc!!

Well when I finished this 4:42 am on a Saturday morning, I was thinking of what to rate this, then I realized it doesn’t deserve anything below a 5 star.

This story is so beautiful I really have nothing to complain about, it was so real that jihyun had a VERY valid reason as to why he was afraid of dating Yohan, it wasn’t an annoying trope where “the uke doesn’t wanna hurt the seme and its angsty” the angst was reasonable and made sense, even Yohans actions as to why he was so willing to be anyone for Jihyun just to please him made sense, their story didn’t feel rushed or dragged out either with their love story ending around in chapter 35, then there was season 2 where the author beautifully weaved in Yosef and daeshiks love story probably catching others by surprise as it was going on during Jihyun and Yohans love story as well. I love Yosef and Daeshik, daeshiks character of being small but also beyOND mighty is so cool to me. He never fails to make me giggle when he goes off on his tangents and just says whatever’s on his mind, he’s soO confident in himself and honest. Yosef really complements him well as a boyfriend but also a character, his background being the saddest amoungst all the characters and the way daeshik was able to save him from the life he was living was heartwarming, stratigical and made sense, then there’s sohae who I disliked at first too and I just want to applaud the author for being able to make the readers dislike sohae then turn it against us by showing that the people in the manwha misunderstand her too because she doesn’t know how to communicate with others “normally” the way behaviors and mental health is talked in this story is really informative and healthy, like how daeshik would sit down and have full conversations with himself about if what he felt towards Yosef in the beginning was love or lust, like I loved that it was so healthy, the author was able to differentiate toxic love and healthy love so easily with the characters that are good, there wasn’t a blind line in any of the characters, all though they all have flaws it’s just like jihyun said they don’t treat who they hold dear like trash and I just love it.

I’m so sad I didn’t read this sooner and I can’t believe I even disliked this comic in the first place, I remember I tried reading it on multiple other occasions but I always dropped it, I’m glad it hugged it out this time tho, it’s been so rare to find a good long story that was impactful and not toxic nowadays 100/10

Bongchons bride is one of those stories you won’t forget, the way the story unfolds is so interesting and keeps the reader intrigued, the author really took their time to think of the characters and the plot because everything is just so well thought out, there doesn’t seem to be an question with the story, the characters are likable even the evil ones because they have good reasons to do what they’re doing, the couples SOOO CUTE their relationship is so healthy and bongchons such a sweetheart softie :(. They occasionally run through my mind and this is gonna be my 2nd time reading this comic since I haven’t been able to find something else as good as this story.
I truly wish the created would make another comic because I would 100% read it, even the historical aspect of the story was good, I don’t know if it’s because the author did their research but everything just made sense, did I mention the couple was cute? They make me feel all fuzzy and tingly and warm on the inside, they make me love love, I love their love, I love them being inlove, read bongchons bride you won’t regret it, even his name is cute “bongchon” HES SO AUGGHH

But to the ratings
I hated how at first it rlly felt like they had no other reason to continue seeing each other. The way seoyoo would get drunk then all the sudden sunghoon would magically show up and wanna take him home safe but “doesn’t know why” like not being aware of his emeotions for seoyoo and not seeing that he cares because she likes seoyoo. Speaking of liking, seoyoo pissed me off a lot with how hard he was on himself, I get his characters supposed to be depressed but literally EVERYTIME sunghoon would show OBVIOUS actions of liking him seoyoo would say some sum dumbass shi.”oh there’s NO way he likes me…he’d never like me.” And it was just more dumb when he didn’t wanna marry sunghoon “for sunghoons own good” like that shi was just stupid to me frl. I didn’t like how sunghoon would be so unemotional at certain times even if it is his character it was just distasteful at times. For example when they lost kongkong and he didn’t even shed a tear, rather was just occupied with trying to comfort seoyoo which is good but I wanted to see more raw emotion from
Him where he’d be strong in front of seoyoo but would be crying in private, I just really didn’t like the way seoyoo acted before and after the found out about kongkong, before he still wasn’t aware of sunghoons feelings for him(somehow) and was ignoring sunghoons calls then called him drunk on the phone saying how whoever’s gonna marry him is lucky, like bitch get out my face with that shi but what really did it for me was when they lost kongkong, seoyoo was holding his emotions in which was noticeable, it took sunghoon letting him know he’s there for seoyoo to finally break down which I applaud the author for that what I DIDNT like was how 2 days later seoyoo was fine and having dinner with the family. Like HUUHHHH I swear I was grieving for kongkong longer than them. It was however good how the author sprinkled some of that bitter sweetness with koong their new baby when seoyoo was shopping and saw the same shoes he bought for kongkong on display. One last thing I didn’t like about seoyoo as character was how RELUCTANT he was to like sunghoon, he went from there’s no way he’d like me, to even if he didn’t like me I can’t like him back for his sake, that shi was just annoying asf other than that I really liked it, the couple is so cute and I can’t wait to see baby koong

It’s so cute hazuki is so nice to naoto and their kids are just the cutest!!!

Mrs.bj is iconic for sure but still it doesn’t make it a high quality story, the way alex treated dg till the last few couple chapters was dog shit.

I just didn’t like how dg was going through emotional torture because of Alex, md and chanwoo carried although they share a very interesting sex prefrence they’re still loving and caring to each other from day one, unlike Alex was with dg.

I just think as someone who had to read the chapters as they were coming out bj Alex could’ve been better

ermm I don’t knoorrr the uke was so back and forth and never really spoke up about what HE wanted to do until like the last second

Eh, at first it started off great then was mid from middle to end, the motive for yuuya wasn’t that serious like you didn’t have to do all that, I get what he did was an asshole move but cmon now…

I had a giggle the characters are cute, the seme lowkey being a puppy was cute I loved seeing that mf being close to tears they’re just so cute together
