i got a threatening email saying they got my shit and that they gonna send videos of me to ppl if I don’t pay but like i deleted it but now what do i do like it seems fake but i still got scared this happen to anyone else before ?
If that type of things make you concerned, just cover your laptop's camera with an opaque tape or disconnect your camera device on your pc when not in use to make sure that no one can see you when you're not using the camera. That's what I do. So the next time you get an email like that, you know it's all just BS to get you to pay up. The scary thing is, it is possible for someone to surreptitiously hack into your camera, but, it does require some expertise, so it is unlikely that the threat is real. So to be safe, cover or disable your camera from now on.
