Well, i'm not a guy but it's mostly perference i think.
Like, gay guys may enjoy straight stories or read yuri & lesbian may enjoy reading yaoi instead of yuri, and it's not like straight guys can't enjoy yaoi just like how most yaoi readers are straight females.
