Sorry for the late reply what I am as you said complaining about is the first chapter I assume you did not skip it by mistake,the JERK seme practically raped the POOR uke who said NO many time and fought back,or maybe you missed the part when he ran frantically into the bathroom to have his attacker....ripped open the door and proceeded in raping him you know if it was a woman that would of been RAPE.

Are you sure you have the right manga? In this one, one of them has a dream about making love with his friend and later on, even if he confesses, he's rejected kindly...? Maybe you were reading another thing :-/

It's Kuga that helps Kageyama understand that his friend is capable of feeling emotions and isn't the apathetic front that he has portrayed. Kageyama seemed to dismiss outright when Yashiro joked previously that he made him cry, and it's Kuga who twigs quickly on that Doumeki is serious about Yashiro, and Yashiro's behaviour this underling is suspect. Then in the latest chapter Kageyama asks Yashiro about this (obviously though Kanji is still just as blind when it comes to Yashiro's relationship with himself). So yes he might be cheeky, but from a plots perspective he fueled some progression.

Ughhhhh I accidentally deleted my original reply. But I also agree with clouds.
Basically what I wrote was that at first I didn't like him because I still had hopes for Yashiro and the doc getting together.
At first I didn't like Kuga because of his attitude and the way he acted (and lingering ship feels for Yashiro and doc). However I began to feel sympathy for him that eventually turned into like. He had to adapt this tough and crude personality in order to make it in the world he was living in. The abuse he endured as a child made him stronger and more aware that life is cruel and you have to do whatever you can in order to make it. Also, he wasn't as oblivious as Doc was to Yashiro's feelings and could also see through some of the bullshit Yashiro says. I began to like him because although his personality was annoying at times, he was a very honest and somewhat blunt person (not to mention he helps progress the story by saying things out loud that he shouldn't). I began to like his brutal honesty. In a lot of ways, he's opposite of Yashiro. In fact, I used to wonder if Yashiro had behaved and was more honest like him, could he had ended up with Doc?
Now I'm happy Kuga's with doc and that Yashiro and Doumeki have found each other. Doumeki has helped Yashiro in a lot of ways that the doc just couldn't. Same goes for Kuga and Doc.

I think somehow there is a misunderstanding they way I feel about kuga has nothing to do with his relationship with the doc or yashino,maybe I explained myself wrong but what I dislike about him is his how can I say it ....how he carry himself you know the way he talks old man this old man that he struts acts like if he is all that I just can't explain it.

He calls him Ossan (well at least in the CD's) which seems more jokey rather than to cause offense. Also, Kuga does call Kageyama things other than this, Kanji-san, Kageyama/-san too. As a character, he's sort of on the side lines and doesn't have the same emotional baggage as Doumeki, Yashiro or Kageyama, so he brings a fresh set of eyes and doesn't have issue expressing himself.

* Just for an irrelevant detail concerning language. In this part of the world it's common to call your dad or male spouse "my old man" or have others refer to them as being your or their "old man" (when speaking informally ofcourse). This is regardless of their age, so you could be talking about someone who is 20 or 80 for all it matters.

Obviously though the setting of the manga is Japan, and he called him Ossan rather than old man, but I thought it was interesting, how an expression which I find personally quite commonly used is drawing attention. Kuga though is cheeky, but he's not malicious so maybe he thought it was just another cheeky/cute expression.

I get what you are saying and if I have to put it in your terms,I don't like cheeky characters its not that I hate him but I don't like his mannerism for the amount of times I have read this book I always skip most of his parts he is funny though but only when Yashiro is around lol. ╮(￣▽￣)╭

After reading a few other mangas where similar terms were used, my opinion on this comment has sort of evolved. It's usually just manga, as opposed to manhwa that has characters who are only in their 30's being called something to the effect of old man, by others, or that they see themselves as been old and a has been. Maybe there are some big cultural differences, as usually that age is considered fairly young, rather than expecting everyone to have hit all the milestones like a secure job, spouse, kids, mortgage etc at that age even if they are the ideal. It is a bit rude that characters are discriminated like this, by derogatory terms used towards their age. However, at least with Saezuru there is a great diversity in terms of characters ages, Kuga is the youngest as he's in his early 20's, whereas Misumi is in his 60's and still has two mistresses (and wants Yashiro too..).

Technically, since the manga goes on sale on July 31st, that means it won't be scanlated until sometime in August or September depending on the speed of the translator, etc. So you'll have time to read it again and again and again.

There's also the cd's too, so you can listen along which gives a better indication of the pace/emotion. Just google as the translating group don't want the link directly shared for this.

I usually don't bother with the CD versions of manga, but I have to say that the Saezuru ones are done well. The melancholic music, the characters voices are all spot on. The scene where Yashiro looks at the car roof and has a flashback to Doumeki being shot at, and Nanahara being shot will make you jump! But on a less happier note, the scene at Doumeki's house is quite painful to listen to (despite just being fiction). It's probably the first time that Yashiro in decades, actually saw himself as an adult survivor of child abuse.

But her personality doesn't get any better. Her kids are terrible and when the time comes on her trusting him for what she knows about him, that bitch turns her back. She easily believes in rumors. Even the evil Lady is better than her.
