it was/it is pretty popular. it was like an apocaliptic world, and this guy i has a town on its own where saves people kinda but they needed to obey his rules (one was to never lock the door), then meet a proffesor, bring him there to teach at school. it was yaoi with obsessed guy crazy tattooed i think.
