I do want to clarify something. I agree with too big = hurtful, but not exactly the part about the hymen. It's a widely spread misconception that the hymen tears and disappears after the first penetration, which is not exactly the case. The hymen is a thin layer of tissue located at the entrance of the vagina with blood flow. However, it usually is spotty or more like a "ring" around the opening instead of an impenetrable sheet that is destroyed upon entering something. Think about this: during the period, the blood needs to be able to flow out, which only works because the hymen is usually just a ring or has holes in it. So mostly the hymen's already is "gone" when a woman reaches adulthood. It's meant to protect your vagina when you're younger but looses that function when you grow up, get your period /or/ start having sex. The absence of a hymen/blood on the first night does not equal not being a virgin. And the other way around, because the hymen can be round with an opening in the middle, it can still be there even after having sex.
Now of being a virgin, I would argue that playing with yourself and inserting something is not necessarily the same as having sex with a man (a man specifically). As how I see it, having intercourse with another person makes you "stop being a Bergin(?)", but not playing with yourself (If you turn the thought around, just because a man inserted his thing into something, it does not make him not a virgin. He stops being a virgin if he puts it into a vagina, not a toy).
I actually didn't want to write that long or sound like a teacher, but oh well. I mostly agree with you, especially that bleeding usually means that he's too big, she's not wet or relaxed enough, or it could hint at a medical condition.
