if you spent a lot of time and effort on making something and then you get people saying stuff like “the storyline is bad” or “a 12 year old could do better than this” how would you feel. I understand it’s your opinion but instead of just criticising the author maybe you could give them advice on how to improve instead that’d be much more useful.
if you don’t like the story, then the solution is simple. just stop reading it. there’s really no need to leave hate comments because the author isn’t going to change the story.
It still benefits the author in a way because their story is receiving attention. Also, you shouldn’t confuse “hate comments” with constructive criticism, because what author keeps writing the same story if their work is clearly not enjoyed by the readers? If they want to attract a larger audience, they should PROBABLY listen to the advice of the readers. That way their story will receive even greater attention. Speaking from a marketing viewpoint and it’s just common sense.

This Is So Peak! (i’m being forced to say this)
