The drawings and the story are confusing. This is the second time in my life I read something, and am unable to understand its meaning. I am not sure what happened. She was raped and fell pregnant; but then the baby was born dead?

The art is really nice. The guy is scary but hot at the same time. I kind of feel sorry for not noticing this manga before and feel awful because it is not completed yet. We have to wait patiently for updates, and even more patiently for the final curtain to fall!

The combat scenes in this chapter were awesome and the drawing style of Nakamura sensei was poignant (affecting the emotions). It is pumping some new blood into this arc and series. I just hope that the producer won't be affected by Mogami's weakling rival's uncle. I believe that he was trying to insinuate that any amateur who can't memorize the whole routine isn't worthy of being given the chance to act. I hope that the producer will act based on his own mind and see that Mogami could go far in her career because she acts according to her keen intuition, which makes her one hell of a project of an actress.

This could be labeled as a shounen ai more than a shoujo. It could've been a great story if the mangaka didn't get confused about the concept she was delivering. It was supposed to be a shoujo with Anise having a major role as the female leading character. However, at some point, she just became a third wheel. On top of that :::spoiler::: Cipher fell for another girl, the same girl his brother loved (and well she dies before either of them gets the chance to confess to her). It would have been great if this story was presented from the start as a manga about the twin brothers, Anise could have been cast in a supporting role. However, it is really not very chic to cast her in Cinderella's role, then send her off to the backstage where both guys treat her as an unnecessary part of the (theatrical) prop. Very uncool and not cute at all. It also distracts the readers from keeping up with the flow of the story while trying to figure out why this dramatic change happened? Perhaps the mangaka wanted to continue with a yaoi-sh story, given the fact that yaoi was becoming more and more popular? Whatever her reasons were, the result is quite unsatisfying.

i completely agree with you. i feel sorry for anise ╥﹏╥

It didn't distract me at all. Besides, Cipher didn't fall in love with Dana Jackson. Have you been reading at all? Cipher loves Anise while Siva loves Dana. That's why he can't get over Dana's death. Also, as for Cipher the reason why he kept delaying about telling the truth is because Cipher wanted to finish his drama series. At that scene, Cipher was selfish because he wanted to keep his fame as an actor. Aside from that, shoujo doesn't really have to be revolve around "pure romance." This manga doesn't just revolve around romance but it tackles a lot of issues relevant during 1980's such as drugs, gang, racism, friendship, family, betrayal. Mind you, the author didn't intend to make this Yaoi. Remember this is a 1980's manga made in 1984. It's just you DON'T understand the 80's era.

A possible explanation for those who didn't understand the story.

I believe that this is one of the stories where a very simple theme becomes so obscure because it is shrouded in a veil of ambiguities. Basically, Atsuchi and Takase are kindred spirits. They communicated with each other for the first time through music and lyrics. Both can't stand being lonely (or rather being left alone) but they can't stand being in a crowd either. Their passion for music brought them together because it is the salvation from the dreadfulness they both feel. However, the more they spent time together, the more things became difficult for Takase because he is consumed by his passion for Atsuchi. On the one hand, he physically desires him more and more. On the other hand, he is stressed out at the thought of losing him which made him incapable of producing music. Atsuchi understood that his presence in Takase's life was intoxicating it, that is why he gave up on him for Nao. He walked away because he wanted his guy to produce music which they both need, especially that they communicate through it. Kenji plays the same role as Nao, he is just a minor partner who helps Atsuchi bring lyrics into life through music. Of course, both Atsuchi and Takase are two-timing but Nao and Kenji admit, in the last chapter, that they were just auxiliaries. I believe that at the end, Atsuchi and Kenji ceased their physical relationship; they just collaborate to produce music now. Finally, albeit the fact that Atsuchi and Takase live separately, the attraction they feel towards each other is automatically set into motion whenever and wherever they meet. By making music, Takase is constantly re-asserting his love for Atsuchi and for music which they both love. In other words they are making a compromise by living far from each other because they are like fire and water, they are both passionate but they neutralize each other whenever they come into contact with one another.
