The fact that this guy, who had just been shown briefly in a flashback before shows up now instead of just remaining as one of the people Kondo hurt and showcasing how shitty of a person Kondo was and still is, is one of the reasons I love this manga so much. ;u; Things that didn't seem that important at first turning out to be super important later on is the kind of storytelling I absolutely love and I'm so excited to see Kondo and Miyuki getting what they deserve!!

Also damn, I feel so sad for Sefal. He did all that for the person he treasures most only to find out he was playing right into the palm of god's hand. And it's not hard to figure out that Sefal was saying it was all for the sake of keeping his position secure, all because he was trying to keep the king from feeling guilty that everything was done for him. I hope Sefal gets to live and that he'll get to make all of it up to the king, Caius, and Kouichi and everyone else he hurt.

(But also, wouldn't the king automatically recover if Caius took over the throne and became the vessel? I get that it would hurt the king's dignity and shit, but damn, Sefal, get your priorities straight - a life is worth more than dignity and pride.)
