What the ML did all those years of them being together can only be described as emotional abuse. Sure he can redeem himself but MC should not get back with him.

The blue one was removable. The one he has now is from the ancestor 2nd prince that possessed him. Still, the child didn't do anything wrong to hear that painful statement from his father ( the prince)

At first I thought the kid might be the crown prince's. But they broke up a long time ago and the crown Prince isn't the type of person to keep up that relationship.

The reason why 2nd prince killed ChaoYi is because ChaoYi found out about the crimes his whole family did. I think he found out when he tried to clear the Crown Prince’s name. Because 2nd prince is the bad guy who planned the Crown Prince to lose his title and 1 year house arrest.
So, to save his whole wretched family, 8th prince being gaslighted/manipulated into helping to kill his own best friend.

Feels like the MC will be sway by the ML pretty soon. The chasing arc is not heavy enough. If the end game is all the same, the author should have made the redemption/chasing arc heavier.
