It's never about entitlement. It's sometimes we get bored of repeated things. Hiatus then Hiatus then Hiatus. Even though readers can understand the author's situation it's just we forgot about the actual story and sometimes we drop it. I literally dropped lot's of story because of extended hiatus. I don't blame the author and I can't demand too. So I'll just drop it.
still, it's kind of selfish to be impatient when everyone's aware of the author's condition. No one deserves to be hated for taking the time they need to recover. If the breaks make you lose interest, dropping the story is a much more reasonable response than directing anger at the author by making meaningless comments abt something that goes beyond anyone's control
