I have only 11 titles in my already read list returned even tho I have been on this site since 2020.My list had hundreds of titles across all lists. So I read this one story that just popped back into my memory that I wanted to reread but I couldn't think of the name or find it in my already reads. It was basically about this one famous swimmer/diver who was said to be really beautiful but he ended up retiring and the main character found them when the swimmer/diver was older like in the 50s and confessed to them making the man self conscious about himself saying that he wasn't beautiful anymore but he main kept confessing and later his feeling went through. Some other context was one of the reasons he retired was because of a scandal that he was only at the top of the swimming world was cause he was sleeping with his coach selling his body for the top spot basically. Idk if that's enough to have someone know the same story but I thought the story was nice but I couldn't think of the name
