I love angst but this is genuinely like spoonful of tar in a barrel of honey. Genuinely ruined the entire story. This used to be favourite and i used to look forward to regular updates now i want to skip it
Im actually with you. As much as i enjoy the angst, it’s a drag and almost 180 from before the time skip. Im still reading out of curiosity and commitment to the ending haha
I do believe authors should care about their readers and have an obligation to look after them personally. If a story was going to be horribly depressing I believe the tone should have been indicated from the very beginning so we were aware and prepared. Having readers fall in love with a very humorous, quirky, fun first two seasons with low angst, then drop this season while we're already invested in the story feels a bit wrong to me. It happened with "Pizza Delivery Man & the Gold Palace" and I dropped that too. I lost interest with this story which is a shame because I adored the tone of the first two seasons. I would have been fine with some angst but at this point I don't even care about whatever the issue is, it just feels dragged, not to mention we waited so long for intimacy and then the sex was unpleasant and left a sour taste in my mouth. It's a shame.
You said it. I actually finished pizza delivery man and yes that manhwa was also equally depressing to me. Perhaps even more since it was both graphic and emotional but it’s not as bad/surprising because it was depicted from the beginning that the top (i don’t remember his name) is poor and came from a problematic family. I did expect a certain level of angst (though it did drag that i myself kept crying while reading it..) . But this manhwa is truly frustrating me right now. The time skip makes it worse like we cant seriously trying to romanticise this dynamic & before anyone come for me im aware this is fiction but still… if many are thinking the angst is sudden and a drag then it’s something worth reevaluating (too bad we’re all here reading it illegally lmao)

I actually read my stories on Lezhin, but if a story is pissing me off I don't wanna pay for it and I come here xD just to keep an eye on it to see if it'll get any better. This site is like my go to to check if a story is going to romanticise toxicity/noncon cos I don't wanna pay for a story if it does

The way leewon did literally what the manager said he would do. He resented il even if it was for a second. He blamed il. “Do you know what i had to sacrifice” all while il was completely oblivious to the situation . I am so sad the author didn’t do anything about that. If leewon didn’t choose abroad at the end this would have came up so many more times in their future. He would have resented il even when having the slightest fight.

the uncle deserves hate too. he knew cheol was being abused and didn't do anything about it. it's shown that he feels guilty because he was favored compared to his brother so he doesn't call his brother out for his bad behavior.
