Tbh I was having theories in my head - full on drama mode cause they wouldn't show Kizuki in the adult timeline for a long long time (an entire season in the anime actually). Since there was a pandemic, I thought he died during their younger years it and Mizuho remained single cause she can't move on. Turns out that the adult timeline continues and he turned out to be like that... why bro. ╥﹏╥
