This sounds like a psycho rant but I’m just struggling to explain what I mean lol.
The whole thing with the sister makes me kind of uncomfortable. Like, I guess I wish there wasn’t a sister in the first place? Having an imposter in your loved one’s body who’s already died.. woof. It’s a whole bag of worms that I don’t think is going to ever be touched on. Even though it’s a BIG thing.
She’s an added emotional anchor, but I don’t care about her other than feeling bad that the person she knew is dead and she doesn’t even know it because they’re walking around.
Also, she’s nice, but just feels so plot-device-boring to me. but the MC cares about her because.. he’s supposed to I guess? The og body owner talked to him in spirit form? That part’s fuzzy. I need to reread maybe I’ve forgotten parts. I can’t place why I don’t like her. I think it mainly has to do with the audience being expected to accept the MC is developing a caring/brotherly relationship with her but I don’t feel that or care. :( idk why. MC is a serious emotionally withdrawn kind of guy. They haven’t (from what I remember) tried to make their relationship more than just “guy who feels bad and has grown to genuinely care” and “girl who loves her brother”.. but I REALLY hope he doesn’t sacrifice something in the future for her or have some sort of “oh no she’s in danger I really do care for her!” moment. idfk☠I just don’t care about her. :( I wish I did she’s drawn so cuteee
Siblings in stories are almost always there to hinder the MC even if they don’t mean to. Like it’s always the same, they’re orphans, or abandoned and/or poor and usually the younger sibling is sickly because why not?
I’d too would have preferred if the sister character didn’t exist, but then without her the story wouldn’t exist either since the whole reason Sihyeon “came back” was because he was worried about her.
Anyway, why can’t siblings just be siblings and not a plot device to parentify the older sibling?
BTW, the way the sister is drawn, I keep thinking she’s older, yet she’s supposed to be like 12.
She should at least be older.
I don’t hate her, but I’ve come to realize that I have little tolerance for sibling characters most of the time.
I hope once the romance gets going that she won’t become one of those annoying sister with a brotherly complex that gets jealous and tries to pull all kinds of cutesy sh*t to get in the way.
Let the doctor join up. That’d be awesome. I need MC to live with two bodyguards.
