this was entertaining, but unfortunately painfully obvious. i would have liked it more if it were less predictable, and i’m sure that in the novel, it was less predictable. i’m still very curious about what exactly happened with the sister. my best guess is that, initially, all four of them were alive, and then the sister changed the timelines in order to save her brother. that would explain everything, including why the sister is so powerful. although, that’s really just me writing fan fiction at this point because i have no real reason to believe it. i enjoyed it, though.
this entire story felt like it had a dark cloud looming over it, which i really enjoyed. there was this constant sense of tension and uneasiness throughout the story that made it really intriguing to read. at times, it can be a little difficult to understand because technically, it is a sequel, but i never read the prequel, so i don’t think that matters too much. regardless, i thought the story was fairly simple to understand at its core by chapter three or four. yes, there are moments when things get a little more confusing, but never to the point where you feel completely lost.
the art is obviously beautiful and fantastic, and this is omegaverse, but it’s alpha x alpha, which is always amazing to read since we don’t get a whole lot of it. the writing was also very intriguing. it’s nothing too complicated, but it’s still great nonetheless. i also really enjoyed the fantasy side story. i wish we got to see more in the side stories, but it was really good.
i kind of feel like after season 1, the author decided to take the story in a different direction. that might explain why season 2 was so much shorter, why some of the character designs changed, and why new characters were introduced to help make the plot make more sense and make the male lead more likable.
i also feel like the male lead was originally supposed to be a lot more toxic. even his father, who was initially supposed to be the enemy, suddenly becomes bedridden in season 2. then we’re somehow supposed to believe that our main character was meant to be with the other son the entire time, which doesn’t really make sense because there wasn’t really any kind of hierarchy between them.
overall, the plot just felt a little all over the place. that being said, i still thought it was a really entertaining read. i wouldn’t tell anyone not to read it just because of these issues, because the story was still engaging and fun enough to keep me interested.
i do think the ending was wrapped up a little too quickly, though. that goes back to my feeling that the story was probably supposed to go in a different direction originally, but ended up being changed along the way. honestly, i’m glad the male lead ended up being turned into a nicer saint than what was initially implied, and there were also some panels that were insanely funny.

i started reading this without knowing what it was about at all.. when i found out it was an omegaverse i literally jumped for joy LOL. it’s interesting how the BDSM stuff existed for a little bit then disappeared. i feel like this story wanted to be so much all at the same time. but tbh, i personally was happy about it though. i really liked the art :3
the uke (tooru) is SOOOO cute. like his little facial expressions (the art is DELICIOUS!!! this mangaka is super talented!!!!!) and i LOVEEE how he yearns >\< soooo cuteee
this was so stinkin' cute i remember reading this about a year ago when it wasn't complete, so i decided to binge the whole thing and reread it, and i'm so glad i did. the story is adorable, and the romance between neuta and the other lead was definitely my favorite part. they're both just so cute together, and i love neuta. he's totally some form of neurodivergent, and i really enjoyed his character.
that being said, i do wish we got more from the overall plot and world-building. i especially wish there had been more about the guild members meeting in real life, particularly meowie. meowie ended up being one of my favorite characters, so i would've loved to get more information about what was going on with them. i feel like there was a lot more the story could've done with the world and the side characters.
overall, though, the romance was absolutely stinkin' cute, and i really loved the art and character designs. definitely a very cute read, even if i wish the story had explored some of its ideas a little more!
ignoring a lot of my personal feelings about the work itself, i think a big thing before reading i want to know is whether or not a manhwa is entertaining. this was really entertaining, and it helps that the art is fabulous.
now for my actual commentary on the plot, in-seob. really, this is just a story of in-seob being surrounded by people with various degrees of mental health problems, and him having unrealistic amounts of empathy for their problems, but also having mental problems of his own that somehow make him believe that he is responsible for the mental health of the people around him due to his own trauma.
i actually really like the toxic dynamic between the two of them at the very end of the story. i have a soft spot for that type of trope where one is super fucking crazy and the other just accepts them for that. i just love that every time.
honestly, i can’t even put into words all of my little itty-bitty emotions about everything. jennie really frustrated me a lot of times, and it was primarily due to her mental health episodes. it really goes to show that mental health issues are not an excuse for bad behavior, but rather an explanation, which then allows the people around you who experience the outbursts and negatives of your mental disorder to accept that for who you are, or give themselves boundaries.
ultimately, jennie paid the ultimate price, and it’s not in-seob’s fault, even remotely, nor is it woo-yeon’s. it’s neither of their fault.
i really enjoyed this manhwa. i’m surprised i never heard of it before. probably because the name is weird.
this was surprisingly really good. i don’t see a lot of people talk about this manhwa. the art was really good, and i liked that the plot was unique. it had a lot of common tropes, but the way that they played out was very well organized. i thought that the characters felt very real. they didn’t feel one-dimensional, and the way that they interacted with each other was just adorable. i think this is a good rare find for me, and i would recommend that other people read it too.
honestly, the story is pretty good. it’s mainly fluff, though, and i just wish there were a little bit more substance to it. if you want a quick, cute read, then this is perfectly fine for you, but it just isn’t my immediate cup of tea. also, the art style wasn’t my favorite. nothing against it; it just wasn’t anything special, in my opinion. but it was still good.
so this is the end of the notorious jinx. wow. this story gets a lot of shit, and honestly, justifiably so. i think to the average individual, this story can be very overwhelming in terms of toxicity and violence, but this story is really good. it is addictive and satisfying. the art is obviously delicious, obviously. and the characters are so interesting. joo is an absolute terror, and i have to say, i love him. i have a soft spot for people who are kind of bad but had a rough upbringing and are sweet to the people they care about. i don’t know, it’s my problem.
and doctor dan? he is an angel on earth. this story gets a lot of shit, but it is really entertaining. i love a good story with a yearning top where the top mega-fucks up. like, mega-fucks up, and then has to earn their way back in while still suffering that loss. and we literally see him suffer up until the very end, where there is a nice resolution.
my only gripe with this story is that the ending cuts off right before we see them actually, genuinely happy. i know that that’s coming in the side stories, but for me personally, i’m just the type of individual who prefers there to be a few more chapters of fluff because i really shouldn’t be savoring a hug scene between these two.
ultimately, this was a fantastic read, and i know that this is an unpopular opinion, but it is really entertaining and good. and most BLs, if you’ve read as many as i have, don’t have this level of entertainment or goodness. and i know this author struggles because they really outdid themselves with BJ Alex. that is insanely hard to top. and i don’t think that either story is better than the other, honestly. both are kind of in the same ballpark for me. neither are my favorites of all time, but both are really entertaining and fucking good.
if you’ve read over a thousand BLs like i have, this is good. i promise you, this is good.

i absolutely loved this story. although that is unsurprising, since the art style is quite literally my preference and the setting is literally my favorite. i cannot deny that this was clearly a recipe for success in my book, but i just thought it was so heartwarming and such a cozy read, with reliable, consistent art and very likable characters. just an amazing read. i loved it so much. i wish i had the words to describe how much i loved it.
a lot of people said the ending felt abrupt, but honestly, i didn't feel that way. granted, i already knew it was going to end at chapter 34, so maybe that influenced my expectations. even so, i thought the story was pretty straightforward for a short manhwa. shorter series usually don't have overly complex plots. instead, they tend to focus on the characters, their relationship, and all the little fluffy moments between them, which is exactly what this one did.
i absolutely adored the art style, and i found both characters incredibly endearing. overall, i really enjoyed it, and if you're looking for a lighthearted, wholesome read, i'd definitely recommend giving it a try.
first off, i want to say that the ending line, using the title to draw the reader in with "to someone out there, you are so lovely," was perfect. it tied everything together beautifully, and i think it's something everyone can relate to. unexpected connections leading to amazing beginnings and fundamentally changing who you are as a person is such a universal experience.
beyond that, i was a bit hesitant going into the story when i learned that one character raised the other before they eventually became romantic interests. that's always something that makes me wary. but in this case, if you approach the story as something fun, lighthearted, and just a giggle, and try not to think too hard about the moral implications of the whole situation, it's fantastic. perfect. i loved it.
i also thought it was really funny that the character from another country, which is never explicitly disclosed but i'm pretty sure is heavily implied, was a bald eagle shifter. i'm pretty sure they were from the united states, and that made me laugh quite a bit.
the plot is, at best, nothing to write home about, but i still really enjoyed it. the art was fantastic, and i'd say this manhwa is very, very lovely. definitely a good read.
contrary to most readers, i actually didn’t mind eun-jae’s constant pessimism alongside his struggles with his identity. i actually found it to be quite realistic considering his circumstances. he’s someone who has been heavily medicated his entire life, and as a result, he lacks confidence. he’s been bullied in the past, so he doesn’t think highly of his appearance. when this very attractive, very popular guy becomes interested in him, he finds it incredibly difficult to believe. mentally, he starts doing gymnastics to somehow make sense of what feels like such an illogical situation, and that leads him to reach incorrect conclusions that end up pushing them apart. i found that aspect to be very realistic and very human rather than something that was just annoying or unnecessary for the plot. if anything, i found it almost too realistic.
additionally, when he finds out that he’s an omega rather than an alpha, i think it makes complete sense for him to be so shaken up by the news, regardless of whether his relationship actually depended on him being an alpha. in the story, being a male omega is incredibly uncommon and something he’s been teased about for years. from his perspective, he’s basically being told that all of the bullying he endured wasn’t just people being cruel—it was them correctly identifying who he actually was. of course that would make him feel horrible, especially since, within this world, being an omega is heavily stigmatized, similar to being a woman in a patriarchal society.
because of that, i think it makes perfect sense for him to take a step back, regardless of the whole issue of the guy he likes supposedly preferring alphas. as we the readers know, he only said he liked alphas because he thought it would reassure eun-jae about the future of their relationship. in reality, he just liked eun-jae for who he was. but it’s also very obvious that eun-jae has an incredibly deep sense of insecurity, something the male lead recognizes as well leading to this claim about “preferring alphas”.
the only reason i can say i wish i liked this more is because i wanted to see more character development and more growth in eun-jae’s confidence. everything else, though, i thought was fine. it was definitely repetitive at times, but i liked the art, i thought it was a wholesome story, and although the pessimism, lack of confidence, and constant running away could be frustrating, i actually found them to be pretty realistic given everything he had gone through.
this was cute but i feel like the end was kinda rushed? i read a lot of short manga but this one felt abnormally abrupt. i enjoyed it but was left wanting more.
