a lot of people said the ending felt abrupt, but honestly, i didn't feel that way. granted, i already knew it was going to end at chapter 34, so maybe that influenced my expectations. even so, i thought the story was pretty straightforward for a short manhwa. shorter series usually don't have overly complex plots. instead, they tend to focus on the characters, their relationship, and all the little fluffy moments between them, which is exactly what this one did.
i absolutely adored the art style, and i found both characters incredibly endearing. overall, i really enjoyed it, and if you're looking for a lighthearted, wholesome read, i'd definitely recommend giving it a try.
first off, i want to say that the ending line, using the title to draw the reader in with "to someone out there, you are so lovely," was perfect. it tied everything together beautifully, and i think it's something everyone can relate to. unexpected connections leading to amazing beginnings and fundamentally changing who you are as a person is such a universal experience.
beyond that, i was a bit hesitant going into the story when i learned that one character raised the other before they eventually became romantic interests. that's always something that makes me wary. but in this case, if you approach the story as something fun, lighthearted, and just a giggle, and try not to think too hard about the moral implications of the whole situation, it's fantastic. perfect. i loved it.
i also thought it was really funny that the character from another country, which is never explicitly disclosed but i'm pretty sure is heavily implied, was a bald eagle shifter. i'm pretty sure they were from the united states, and that made me laugh quite a bit.
the plot is, at best, nothing to write home about, but i still really enjoyed it. the art was fantastic, and i'd say this manhwa is very, very lovely. definitely a good read.
contrary to most readers, i actually didn’t mind eun-jae’s constant pessimism alongside his struggles with his identity. i actually found it to be quite realistic considering his circumstances. he’s someone who has been heavily medicated his entire life, and as a result, he lacks confidence. he’s been bullied in the past, so he doesn’t think highly of his appearance. when this very attractive, very popular guy becomes interested in him, he finds it incredibly difficult to believe. mentally, he starts doing gymnastics to somehow make sense of what feels like such an illogical situation, and that leads him to reach incorrect conclusions that end up pushing them apart. i found that aspect to be very realistic and very human rather than something that was just annoying or unnecessary for the plot. if anything, i found it almost too realistic.
additionally, when he finds out that he’s an omega rather than an alpha, i think it makes complete sense for him to be so shaken up by the news, regardless of whether his relationship actually depended on him being an alpha. in the story, being a male omega is incredibly uncommon and something he’s been teased about for years. from his perspective, he’s basically being told that all of the bullying he endured wasn’t just people being cruel—it was them correctly identifying who he actually was. of course that would make him feel horrible, especially since, within this world, being an omega is heavily stigmatized, similar to being a woman in a patriarchal society.
because of that, i think it makes perfect sense for him to take a step back, regardless of the whole issue of the guy he likes supposedly preferring alphas. as we the readers know, he only said he liked alphas because he thought it would reassure eun-jae about the future of their relationship. in reality, he just liked eun-jae for who he was. but it’s also very obvious that eun-jae has an incredibly deep sense of insecurity, something the male lead recognizes as well leading to this claim about “preferring alphas”.
the only reason i can say i wish i liked this more is because i wanted to see more character development and more growth in eun-jae’s confidence. everything else, though, i thought was fine. it was definitely repetitive at times, but i liked the art, i thought it was a wholesome story, and although the pessimism, lack of confidence, and constant running away could be frustrating, i actually found them to be pretty realistic given everything he had gone through.
overall, i enjoyed the main story. however, i genuinely found the male lead to be one of the most aggravating characters i've ever read. that probably sounds dramatic, but it's honestly how i feel. he's selfish, frustrating, and incredibly annoying for most of the story. he becomes a little more bearable in the side stories, but only barely. the fact that his personality only really changes after the main character nearly dies is kind of wild and not exactly the most satisfying character development.
the side stories also feature a different art style, which i don't think does the characters any favors. on top of that, they're honestly pretty boring. we also get to see that the main character can be annoying and a little toxic as well. i'm not really sure why the side stories exist in the first place because they feel less like bonus content and more like a continuation of the main story, except without an interesting plot to keep things engaging.
overall, i have no idea why this series is still continuing. i'm definitely not going to be reading any more of it, but those are my thoughts.

this was such a wonderful story! a cute mix between omegaverse and subverse! i’ve never seen that before. absolutely loved it. would’ve loved some babies tooooooo but maybe that’s too greedy
i read this because there were a lot of people in the comments saying that they thought it was really good or that they really enjoyed the story, but i'm going to be honest when i say i was kind of disappointed and a little bit disillusioned after reading it simply because i was anticipating more romance than i got.
the story does not explicitly say there's going to be romance, but with the categorization of shounen ai, i always assume there's going to be at least a little bit of romance. the romance is, at most, implied, but it's never explicitly stated. the only kissing that occurs between the two main characters happens when one of them doesn't even want it and is completely misunderstanding the situation.
so, honestly, this was not a great romance read. if you want a mid-tier mystery story—because, in my humble opinion, i thought it was really predictable—then read this as a mystery. but don't go into it wanting a romance like i did, because you will be disappointed by the ending, or honestly, the lack thereof.
this guy is so pathetic it’s actually traumatizing. stand the fuck up!! also, according to others in the comments.. the raws are even worse. gg this was a solid start with a horrid finish— how is this considered a complete volume??
i loveeee the artstyle and the first couple! second couple was a bit bland for my tastes— i like main characters like the first uke a bit more :P that’s just personal preference though
what’s frustrating about this read is that the male lead fundamentally doesn’t change from a bad person to a good person. when i hear that a story has a grieving and groveling arc, i expect the male lead to fundamentally change as an individual. the problem is that the only reason the male lead improves is because he realizes his assumptions were actually incorrect. even then, he continues to make false assumptions throughout the entirety of the story and never really changes for the better.
of course, he gets forgiven because they have some kind of tie to each other, since that’s pretty typical in omegaverse stories. it’s just a bit upsetting, boring, and useless, in my opinion. i only read up to chapter 39. i didn’t even want to read six more chapters of it. i feel like it would have been fine if it were just a little better, but i really disliked the male lead because he genuinely did not change. i’m a bit critical, but this wasn’t horrible. just fine.

it started off super promising! the art was clean and the story was intriguing but as other commenters have noted at times the panels leave out essential details necessary to contextualize the story. at one point, ike says he helped seme learn how to use a condom when to my knowledge that was the first time a condom would have ever been necessary?? also the sick scene was all out of whack too. it’s not bad, but it’s just not very good and got boring too quickly.
what’s japans obsession with male leads who have sex with any woman who breathes? it’s so strange. the translations were amazing though so thank you for translating and type setting!!!
really enjoyed this story, and i’m genuinely surprised that so many people dislike it. i feel like maybe it’s an acquired taste. it is definitely a heavier story, but i think it ends on a positive enough note that it doesn’t leave you feeling completely depressed.
i truly liked the ending, and i think it was necessary for them to take time apart before being able to come together again. individual growth is necessary for unified growth, and without that time apart, jiho never would have been able to stand on his own. he clearly struggled with his mental health throughout the entire story. first, it was his lack of emotions, then his reliance on drugs and other people, specifically people who were bad for him. at some point, he even tried to take his own life, and he never fully got over the trauma from his adolescence, even having a panic attack after discussing things with his father.
all of that is to say that he is a deeply struggling individual. he needed that time apart. i love that the male lead recognized that and told him he needed that space and the ability to grow. forcing jiho to stay by his side might have felt fulfilling for him, but he understood that it would not have been healthy for either of them.
my only sad part is that i wish we got side stories. i wish we got to see them happy and living life together for at least two extra chapters. that would have made me feel really satisfied. still, i think the ending is beautiful in its own way because it allows us to come to positive conclusions on our own.
this is a heavy, heart-wrenching story about growth, and i think it was done really well. i enjoyed the color palette, i enjoyed the art, and even though i was frustrated many times, people are complex and multifaceted. i found that really interesting.
i think you need to have a very specific desire when reading this type of story. you cannot come into it expecting something lovely, because this is not a lovely story. it simply is not. it is hard to chew and swallow, but if you get past the nitty-gritty, the taste is really delicious.
the art rlly improved towards the end. i wonder whatever happened to the tutor and brother? that side story kinda got overlooked. also, i felt really bad for juheong he had it rough lol. there were times he was a bit much but people around him were very meh. especially seon. seon is a piece of work! definitely far from a perfect ML and super toxic but atleast he’s better from his former self. i liked this even if there were some loose ends :P
