bl stories that center on genuinely being gay and the potential struggles that come with it, while also lightening the mood with comedy, will always have a special place in my heart. i absolutely loved this story. i think both of the characters are wonderfully written, and jae-hyuk’s character development was absolutely tasteful. he actually ends up being my favorite character, even more so than garam, which i think is quite surprising.
i also think the art style changed for the better. i know that’s slightly controversial, but i do think it was a positive change, especially since we get to see more dynamic facial expressions from the characters.
ultimately, this story is one of a kind. there really isn’t much else like it, and i think that’s what makes it so special and fun. it’s not necessarily a story that sticks with you because it carries a particularly deep message, although there are some deeper concepts explored. however, they aren’t harped on too heavily, which allows the story to stay true to its identity as a romantic comedy.
i think it strikes a great balance between comedy and lightheartedness while also addressing some of the tougher realities that people face. i wish we could have seen a little more of the story in certain aspects, simply because i want to know everything and i’m super nosy. ultimately, i think this was a fantastic read, and i’m so sad that it’s over.

i haven’t felt this way after reading a good manhwa in so long. it’s been such a long time since i’ve read something this interesting, toxic, and fun. the art is good, and this was such a good read. i feel like i’ve been reading so many boring things lately, but this one was SO good. i love how toxic it is, the back and forth, the emotional irregularities, the dysfunctionality of the plot, and the absolute craziness of one of the characters. i love when we see a good change in behavior. it’s so good. SO good.
the premise is very much the stereotypical gang boss to lover arch. i do think it’s cute how it ended up and to be entirely fair i think this was, for the most part, consensual? unless i forgot something. in my head, since these are soooo common, i can’t even fault it. it’s like getting kidnapped by one direction… i also anticipate my reading of yaoi for sooo long to allow me to permit a lot of harmful behaviors in the fiction. so, idk. i thought it was genuinely fine— nothing crazy.
it’s pretty rare you come across a perfect BL manga in this day and age. this is perfect. perfect plot. perfect pacing. perfect characters. perfect art. perfect. this? this is perfection at it’s pinnacle performance.

i read this with the thought of reading it first before the sequel… it’s so bad. just pornhwa with a bad plot.
this is my second time reading reunion, and i’m really not the type of person to reread manhwas ever. i tend to remember the plot too much, or i can’t really get into it because i know what’s going to happen.
but with a story like reunion, you can really reread it about a million times over and still thoroughly enjoy it because there’s truly not a lot of manhwas that are made in such a well-made manner, especially when it comes to scenes where we’re going from the past to the present. you never get confused about what’s going on, and the transitions between those timelines are absolutely seamless, and they blend together perfectly. the story writing is absolutely phenomenal, the art is fantastic, and the characters are absolutely wonderful. it’s such a wonderful fucking story. just the premise is fantastic. it’s executed perfectly.
i just wanted some lovely side stories. i know i had the same thought last time, because why wouldn’t i? it makes sense that a story like this simply wouldn’t, just because sometimes when the actual plot is so good, it needs a solid line finish, and we can’t have that excess fluff because it takes away from the amazing plot. but i just want it badly. i just want it.

i’m surprised so many of you guys dislike these types of stories with the robot. i think it’s quite unique and cool, especially considering that this is AGI, not an LLM. it makes sense that it wouldn’t function similarly to the “AI” (LLMs) that we have today. this would be actual intelligent, independent, somewhat free-thinking robots, especially with its humanity raised up to 95% and it choosing to do so. i thought it was cute and cool. i feel like sometimes people are just negative on here.
this was surprisingly a hidden gem. the art style is really consistent and well done, and the plot is very straightforward but has enough conflict to keep you engaged. i really enjoyed it. i think the pacing was great, and the characters are really endearing. it also feels very realistic, and even their arguments felt super realistic. i think this was genuinely worth my time and the read. i would recommend this to anyone.
this was entertaining, but unfortunately painfully obvious. i would have liked it more if it were less predictable, and i’m sure that in the novel, it was less predictable. i’m still very curious about what exactly happened with the sister. my best guess is that, initially, all four of them were alive, and then the sister changed the timelines in order to save her brother. that would explain everything, including why the sister is so powerful. although, that’s really just me writing fan fiction at this point because i have no real reason to believe it. i enjoyed it, though.
this entire story felt like it had a dark cloud looming over it, which i really enjoyed. there was this constant sense of tension and uneasiness throughout the story that made it really intriguing to read. at times, it can be a little difficult to understand because technically, it is a sequel, but i never read the prequel, so i don’t think that matters too much. regardless, i thought the story was fairly simple to understand at its core by chapter three or four. yes, there are moments when things get a little more confusing, but never to the point where you feel completely lost.
the art is obviously beautiful and fantastic, and this is omegaverse, but it’s alpha x alpha, which is always amazing to read since we don’t get a whole lot of it. the writing was also very intriguing. it’s nothing too complicated, but it’s still great nonetheless. i also really enjoyed the fantasy side story. i wish we got to see more in the side stories, but it was really good.
i kind of feel like after season 1, the author decided to take the story in a different direction. that might explain why season 2 was so much shorter, why some of the character designs changed, and why new characters were introduced to help make the plot make more sense and make the male lead more likable.
i also feel like the male lead was originally supposed to be a lot more toxic. even his father, who was initially supposed to be the enemy, suddenly becomes bedridden in season 2. then we’re somehow supposed to believe that our main character was meant to be with the other son the entire time, which doesn’t really make sense because there wasn’t really any kind of hierarchy between them.
overall, the plot just felt a little all over the place. that being said, i still thought it was a really entertaining read. i wouldn’t tell anyone not to read it just because of these issues, because the story was still engaging and fun enough to keep me interested.
i do think the ending was wrapped up a little too quickly, though. that goes back to my feeling that the story was probably supposed to go in a different direction originally, but ended up being changed along the way. honestly, i’m glad the male lead ended up being turned into a nicer saint than what was initially implied, and there were also some panels that were insanely funny.
