Plot twists wasn’t as crazy as I thought, the detective Fuuji was creepy and scary af tho. I’m glad everyone confessed and was arrested because I think they would’ve all kept suffering,
I’m sad that after all the suffering Tsubaki had to bear she still ended up in jail.
I never liked Akira to begin with, his happy class pres stick didn’t work on me and he coerced and hit Tsubaki, when I found out she killed him I thought she deserved to.
Haruka is basically another Akira, she’s annoying af and lowkey evil but I do think she’s a lil sweet (not really).
Ryu was my fav but because he’s plain and righteous but also because he has a complicated but loving home.
Shintaro deserved more from the world and tho they made him out to be this random guy he really was the glue and brains of this group. I wonder if his dad was gonna be nicer or he was just in a good mood and would be back to feminising his son after the festival? also eleven year olds plotting a murder is insane.
They said Shintaro was gonna die if they didn’t kill his dad and probably later on he would've however those kids did have a biased controlled situation just to kill him and that’s just terrifying. Don’t get me wrong the dad was 100% evil and probably would’ve turned just as bad Kitamara and his pedophilic snuff fetish. Also the other parents should’ve done something!!!!
As a horror manga it’s really nothing special, the fan service was much like everyone having sex with everyone when I couldn’t care less and the romance was annoying most of the time plus the covers of every chapter having them naked holding the skull was just weird. Kitamara’s weird ass plot of having them naked infront of each other adds to his perverseness but I can’t help to have it be unnecessary along with any other times they got remotely naked. It’s was okay, very interesting premise

There is way too much smut I do like how it’s drawn, written and how descriptive it gets. However, it is very repetitive and probably takes over more than 50% of the story.
Jaepil and Hyumin are my faves, they are very cute. The fact that they’re handsome and my type probably add to it, I like that they got engaged at the end!! (what was the timeline like tho?? when did they get together??) I wish we got to see more of jaepil in his psychology major. But I liked the chemistry of those two a lot!!
Yura after becoming one was much better I did really like him. He was hilarious. Him and jaepil have such a funny rivalry.
The only thing I wish besides less smut and more plot is people being honest and truthful. Can the bottoms stop saying no and stop if they don’t mean it!?!? Jinsung using his hyung for sex also didn’t sit right with me because Yura’s personality are like two different people.

Uno was a massive dickhead though he cared extremely for Shihyeon but to be honest, I still really like him and I’m so glad that he’s getting a sequel (bad apple). I hope we see Hanjun and Shihyeon’s wedding as well as more Shadow there.

This story is extremely cute, Tang Tang definitely likes Qingye straight off the bat but then there’s Xia Yiyi and Qiu Mang being hella pushy leave him alone!! They do back out of going to a basketball game because they don’t want to cheer against Tang Tang’s boyfriend (sweet), but they also accidentally outed him (less sweet). I’m glad this is a manga or I’d straight up hate them.
Now Lin Hang (aka hottest guy in school), I love all the nicknames he gives especially how he calls Tang Tang ‘Toffee’ but the way he did his QiuQiu!?! manipulative but perfect. I love him. I hate him. I'm confused.
There’s one scene where Qingye keeps hurting Tang Tang’s feelings and Tang Tang thinks it’s because he smells fuck this weather indeed. The whole miscommunication is hilarious.
But it’s not all fluff—there’s a loaded background with Qingye where a teacher literally tries to beat Qingye up for being gay with the top student (even though there was nothing going on), we moved past that so quick.
My baby Qiu Tian he is the hot blue-haired boy who likes Hang. He’s so smart—the way he explains things to Tang Tang works so well but he’s also out here changing his look for a boy. Smart but silly. I adore him, my fave little fake delinquent

He also KNEW QiuQiu lied and called it out over the phone, asked for his sweets back I literally thought that I was going to cry!?! He was awful and sadistic. I love my QiuQiu a little too much all ended well tho!!

Let me be real: we all knew Seven was endgame right?? The pacing for him and Hana’s dynamic was good and it fit the slice of life setting, Hana is assertive and emotionally intelligent which did great for the pacing. Though she challenges Seven, she’s still completely understanding of who he is as a person. She doesn’t try to fix him, she meets him. Now their kiss?? Though super simple I loved it!! The way Hana just grabbed Seven and kissed him. OH MY GOD, MY BLOOD LEVELS WERE SO HIGH She kissed him first!! This proves her love for him so wellit just adds to how funny it was when Seven almost fell off the railing because the kiss scared him.
To be honest this was everything. Hana is a great MC: kind, flirty, cynical, real. And the art? Beautiful. Everyone looks hot. Especially Seven in a wig. I genuinely didn’t expect to fall in love with this story all over again, but here I am. Heart full. Ready to redownload the app. Mystic Messenger manga isn’t just a retelling, it’s a love letter. To the game, to the characters, and to all of us who once fell too hard for a hacker in glasses
I just have so much to say because I feel so warm and nostalgic, last thing though definitely play the game versus reading this because it’s not the same!! I didn’t expect extensive lore and we didn’t get it but the game has plenty. I don’t wanna keep rambling. Rating: 707/10

Even though the story moves fast (it had to, with such short chapters), their first time felt real and sweet. It wasn’t overly polished or unrealistic, Haru kept checking in, asking if Taishi was okay, and even if he could finish. It was way better than the usual “perfect sex” BLs like to sell, it feels true to being a teenager figuring things out.
