Daon is toxic? No he's not, he needed help because of his family's circumstances and that's where his hyung who i just forgot the name came. He was there for him so you all cannot blame Daon. And from what i have read Soohyun has issues with Daon getting in a relationship that's why he could not tell him that he's seeing Seunghyun because he's afraid that Soohyun will hurt Seunghyun. Daon needs someone who can understand him and will make him feel safe.

Well, that's how adult life works. You are learning how to make your own decisions what you want in your life. Daon has not cut contact with his parents without a reason.
And not knowing is not really an 'excuse'. This word is strong and not perfect in this case however that's how it looks.
