The old emperor was really good at the uke it's just that a misunderstanding happened and he got really jealous and over come with a great emotion to Monopolize the uke for himself leading him to make such harsh and haste decisions which leads to all the disasters in the past.
Don't worry the Emperor in the present life time will not make those same mistakes but the person in the past that had caused the misunderstanding also got reborn too to do same time thing all over again but our Seme and uke are much wiser now.

i see everyone's character development except for hyesung
That's bcs he experienced trauma from his childhood. He can't move forward in his life bcs he (unconsciously) keeping those experiences thus Character development is really hard for him. Right now he needs therapy and Dojin should encourage and emphatic to him to voice out his problems. But I see some hints of character development on him tho. Can you see them at least? ~.~ no bcs you are too closeminded. I dont see him as a selfish man anymore since well he is worried to his son and to his family.
