I mentally wanted to save Sabaru from this embarrassment. I even started shouting for him not to do it (not that it would achieve anything). Knowing his personality I don’t see him as the type who would sit back even if the better option was to wish for his friend's happiness, feel heartbroken then find love in a sequel. Don’t want to see their 10 years of friendship ruined but rather it grows from this point onwards. He’s like the in-between character that gets the other (Tsugumi) to realize their feelings.
