So I'm rereading for the millionth time and I just caught glimpse of something. When Eve and Gozu took a bathe in the 'holy' spring, the talking horse did say their role was to BLESS the saintess with the power to heal based on what he thought was love/purity. What's insane was they showed glimpses of her and she looked EXACTLY like Eve but with big bust and apparently a different eye colour. At the time they were bathing and the horse guy peeked he ended up 'healing' Gozu's wounds by seeing their pure sight of love..... What if the saintess is based off of whoever bathes in the spring. The game missed a lot of details which is why they didn't know much about the magician on the hero's team as well. What if Eve took a bath in the lake before and this time because Gozu caught the eye of the horse guy instead of Eve, the new saintess looks like him.
Now regarding the power to heal, hypothetically when it was Eve, he couldn't be blessed with that power at all because he's the demon king and it came from the Goddess. But what if because it was Gozu this time that Gozu has the power and doesn't know it. Which is why the new saintess doesn't have any...
