This story could have been really good if it weren’t for the weird pacing and time skips. Dam I hope it’s not issues of publishers or the author just wanting to skip to the end. I guess I’ll stay a little longer for the art style. Praying they don’t skip through plots too much it’s actually pretty interesting if they spend more time on the story

In stews and things like that alcohol gets cooked out - so no alcoholic content remains so it's perfectly safe to consume even if you're a child. Cakes and deserts on the other hand don't reach the right temperature and usually aren't in the oven for long enough for the alcohol to cook out so deserts can retain a certain alcohol percentage while stews and things like that don't- hope this helps (=・ω・=)
