Idk. Some people are having a hard time wondering where the VanixJeanne romance came from but I enjoy it. They both are experiencing falling in love for the first time. Vanitas feels that life can be more beautiful around Jeanne while Jeanne for the first time in so long feels that she can be saved and is worth more than other people think.
Honestly this mess was so gross and disgusting to me and the author who wrpte this is slick misogynistic. First, let’s talk about that nasty portrayal of Kimiko who a lot of manga authors (not just this one) like to depict these “strong” female characters as being able to fight but only focus on their interactions with men. They literally write these girls like some horny teenage girl who lose it over some insert male mc. These GROWN authors might I add love to sexualize the average teenage girl. Second, wtf was up with the drug and rape stuff? This stuff happens in real life and for them to portray these drugged girls as loving the whole rape experience is nasty and disgraceful. I have a lot to say about this manga but whatever. I hope people who read this sort of stuff don’t actually view this is how a woman nor girl should be.
