My theory is that Jerry was in denial bc he thought iliya's feelings were all because of the game, so he didn't want to fall in love or even admit his feelings. But when illiya "erased" his liking points and still loved him it showed Jerry that he likes him regardless of the game, which in turn allowed him to love him back. It still feels a bit rushed, but that's a theory that kinda makes it make sense to me(￣∇￣")
