I get it okey(at least im trying to stay sane). Isaac was sold, locked up, experimented on as a kid. Also wasnt fed blood for years so hes bloodthristy. Explains why hes so FUCKING SICK IN THE HEAD. That he got a split personality or watever. The story did say that the serial killings only started when isaac got out, which is not a coincidence(which WE ALL TOT WAS, omfg).
So, although the ending is SHIT. The storyline of isaac having a 'split personality' could have been used so good in the story. And HELLOO?! More screentime for the Mac, Kay, and Blueberry maybe???.
I hope why i have kids...someone make a complete AU of this. And i will die happy.
Omg i forgot about the ending and got hooked by the face-cards again....my bloods fucking boiling and my hands got cold from wanting to punch the author of this.....
Okey so i found an more indept explanation of this rushed shitty ending:
1. There were two killers: mystery vampire guy with a cleft chin, and Isaac. Isaac only killed one person: Colin. That explains why other killings happened when Isaac was with Giselle. Isaac was foreshadowing that he was slipping into dangerous territory when he told Giselle he "sometimes thinks he'll go insane." As Giselle and Isaac's relationship got darker and more possessive, Isaac was unable to control himself anymore, and killed Colin as well as attacked Anne.
2.Giselle stopped taking the transformation medicine after shooting Isaac and returned to her normal human form, which is why she is seen on the orphanage steps in the sunlight. Penny and Olivia discovered the cure to turn themselves human and are now aging normally and able to be in the sunlight, but they do not keep in touch with Giselle.
3. The child at the end of the story is Isaac. He was shot by Giselle and fell off of the cliff. She never checked if he actually died. The shot that "kills" Isaac is never actually showed to be a silver bullet. That's why Anne asks Giselle if she used Anne's silver bullet (since Giselle shot her silver bullet and missed) but Giselle doesn't answer because the answer is no! She didn't use a silver bullet on Isaac at all! Isaac falls into a shady area under tree cover and survives.
4. The "cleft chin" mystery vampire is still at large. Isaac and Mystery Vamp find each other after Isaac is "killed" and fed off of one another in the forest to stay alive. Mystery Vamp becomes obsessed with Isaac as his soulmate.
5. Isaac leaves the forest to pursue his soulmate, Giselle. During that process he becomes weak as he avoids harming others, thus becoming a small child again. Penny and Olivia find him before he finds Giselle and give him the choice to live as a human. Isaac decides that since living as vampires is what tore them apart, he wants to be human and takes the medicine, becoming a human child. He is given the option to become a human adult by Penny and Olivia but he decides not to so as to break the cycle of harming Giselle. Eventually he finds her at the orphanage and they can reunite in the sunshine. Unfortunately, human Isaac and Giselle are being watched by Mystery Vamp, who is hunting Isaac...
