I started reading the novel after the end of season 1 and I’m surprised how much faster the pace is in the manhwa, they took out some things, mainly related to what Jun has been feeling, here it’s not shown that well but Jun is feeling really sad and anxious with this whole situation and the reason he doesn’t want to get close to Yohan again is because he realized how unstable he is, he’s afraid that in the future this will happen again (Yohan ignoring him completely).

I made a whole paragraph telling you what happens and for some reason it got erased. To keep it short, Jaehyun doesn’t get too close to Jun because he’s scared of Yohan. Jun and Jaehyun never become close friends, they just talk sometimes when no one’s watching. And Jun is grateful to him because he’s kind to him

He does but it’s not like a big argument because Jun realizes he could get Jaehyun in trouble if Yohan thinks they’re close so that’s why they keep their distance
huge novel spoilers:
actually yohans jealousy peaks when he sees jaehyun and jun have coffee together. he begins taunting jarhyun. this is kind of a turning point in the story because jun snaps at yohan for acting jealous and pours coffee on him being like “jaehyun is my real friend. you’ll never be like him” and runs away. this triggers like yohans whole groveling chasing arc where he begs for juns forgiveness. also jaehyun is extremely smart he has good social awareness which is why he and jun click, he’s a good person too but his one flaw is that he’s a “coward” and can’t stand up to the hierarchy which is why jun does him a ‘favor’ and defends jaehyun in front of yohan. at some point in the story jun also attempts to use jae as a replacement for yohan but jae is too cautious and keeps his distance unless they’re alone tgt so it doesn’t work out
