Nothing against this but I feel like mc has a very toxic view on what being an internal medicine physician is. I know we story is insinuating he’s wrong but I hope there is an actual scene of him realizing that. Internal medicine physician are the ones that do check-ups and are the first to notify you when something is wrong. They work with you to form health plans and to redirect you to the correct specialist if needed meaning they must have knowledge in a number of diseases and disorders in order to quickly find someone to help you and reduce harm. They go through residency as well—so in no way is working in that field “limping and pretending to be a doctor”. They are arguably the most doctor of all the medical practitioners since they have the strongest connection with their community. Again I have full sympathy for him but it’s completely fine if he cannot be a surgeon, he can save so many lives as an internal medicine specialist and maybe that would suit him better considering his anxieties.
Why do I care?
My mom’s a internal medicine doctor and I hate when her profession is undermined cause she works really hard to maintain the health of our community.
yeah hopefully it delivers in that aspect. though so far it seems his view of it has been intentional, he has been shown to be an achiever from the start and his move is likely the author's way to make him develop a different perspective.
though aside from that, i think his thoughts were also influenced by the fact that he was working towards being a surgeon instead of internal medicine so being switched gears so fast makes him feel like he's shirking on his actual profession
You know those reincarnation manga where a lady becomes a princess. Are there any where someone becomes a prince? I kinda what to see a male lead (other than the beginning after the end) in this trope.
I honestly can't stand them. All these pretty capable woman falling in love with a simpleton with no talents other than being pervy or kind (two things I don't find to be proper talents) is annoying and kinda degrading to both genders.
Why are the Male leads so plain and boring? Why are they such weaklings and losers compared to the girls? Why do the girls fall for them? There is never an equal give and take in these poly relationships.
Why are the make leads such perverted assholes. They use the ladies as only fap material and it's annoying cause you know they only care about the girls bodies. Either that or they behave like a normal human being and are "nice". These girls need to know that most guys in the world are nice with the added bonus of actually being self-sufficient.
Ending note: most harem manga are trash, if it has ecchi I avoid at all costs, the small amount that are good have Male protagonists actually worth shit but even then GIRLS HAVE TYPES NOT ALL OF THEM WOULD BE INTO YOU.

So true...I think those authors just insert their perverted self to satisfy their desire. I also avoid these kind of stuff and it gets pretty annoying how it got popular. It gets me puzzled up until now... ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Harem is just fan service for boys who are into “hot anime girls”. Not the best genre but it’s there for bored people or boys interested in that. I don’t think authors care about the male leads and girl leads, they just care about making money from the sexy anime girls. Contains a lot of fan service.
Well i get what you mean, but to be fair there are also manga out there where the girl is surrounded by all the guys in the manga. I also dont like it either, but it's whatever bc it's the authors' freedom to create whatever they want to create. We cant really take away their freedom, so as a reader, the best we can do is just dont read kinks that we dont like.
Honestly I'm only upset at it because of how much of it is produced each year. There are hundreds of harem anime made each year and it's much higher than other genres. I don't like how much of it is constantly made each year while it spreads such problematic issues. "Stop existing" was only a hook and is an over exaggeration of how I feel since like I said there are good ones. I honestly just want money to be put in good stories with self-sufficient characters instead of fan service in a box. I'm also aware of reverse harems and I don't like them as well because often either the girl is abused, the men are like servant and don't have a type, or she isn't self-sufficient. This is about harems though not reverse harems.
Final note: if harems exist make the man able to do something; everyone on earth is talented so not showing that kinda sucks. The highest rated harems that make the most money are ones where the main character does things and progresses the plot. I just want someone to make the relationship even, I just want it to look less toxic.
Again, i totally get what you mean. I personally dont know anything about harem: about its typical storyline, about its sales, etc. simply bc i find it's weird so i never read or care about them. I just personally believe that it's the creators' freedom to do whatever they want to do. That's how a free society works. Some people like to read harem bc they are "pathetic" like that. Just like how some people hate other people for reading yaoi bc they believe it doesnt show a "realistic" gay relationship. And of course, since it's a free society, you also have the ability to voice your opinion. Maybe if people didnt read this kind of stuff (harem and alao hentai) in the first place, the sales wouldn't be so high, and the creators wouldn't have to make them so that they could earn some money.
Thank you so much I no longer feel alone I never watch animes or read manga that have romance & harem in the genre description. I don't like another girl wearing the same outfit as me much less sharing a lover! The class loser gets all the hottest chicks in school and they don't mind sharing the trash. Did somebody beat them with a "Stupid "Stick" or something even animals chose the best to mate with its insulting. Its nothing but wishful thinking for loser giving them false hope!
All these stories like to add homewreckers for drama but there is a super interesting conflict right in front of them. Todoroki is infertile due to him misusing medication. Otonashi may start thinking about having kids based off the conversation he had with his coworkers. Them struggling with those conflicting positions could be super interesting and could go a number of ways. Also it would be different.
