Unfortunately, trauma is dealt with differently by people, Jaekyung's way mirrors the trauma, with violence and pushing people away.
That does make him an asshole, but I get where he's coming from, sometimes you don't realize your reaction until it's too late and you've already hurt people, yourself, etc. And when you're already ticked off, everything adds on top and it's even harder to calm down, so it get worse. Hopefully he's learn a bit from his ways and will apologize soon ish at the very least, but we'll see how the author goes with it.
Y’all, if you don't know what a concussion is and its possible outcomes (death/memory loss/etc.), or the trauma such little incidents that you couldn't prevent can cause on small kids, you shouldn’t be here. There's no way you guys are 18+ (￣∇￣") or go read some bio books about how our body work, might help in the future

Honestly, I respect the cut off from the original novel plot. In a novel, you get it all in one book, all at once. In a manhwa you get tiny snipet of the story, once per week. Can you imagine how long people would have had to wait for some resolution if they went with the original pacing? One or even two years maybe, a 100 chapter of misunderstanding, and pain. Many readers would loose patience and drop the manhwa, or at least stop reading it when the wait would get too long.

If you don't have enough sense to realize what the placeholders are for and why they are so many and keep complaining about them just go buy the real chapters and give the author some money. Illegal readers have no right to complain, uploaders and translators do all this for free, on their personnal free time.

I get hating and getting mad at Jaekyung and insulting that guy of every insult possibly existing, it's totally fine and earned because that character is a shitty asshole AND he's *fictionnal.* But some of y'all should refrain on talking about the author, a real, breathing person and wishing death, assault or r on them just because they're writting a character you don't like. It's not the flex you think it is. Asking "what are they doing???" is fine, but wishing them arm is another kind of talk and is never ever fine, even if you think or say it's joke, it never truly is.
I really dislike the name they choose for the og translation, it's like they completely chose to ignore the meaning of the korean title
What's wild to me is that we never saw Honam's POV, so we'll never know why he ghosted or how long he was in the arranged marriage debacle. Leaving your lover, that he lived with for four years to reach "power" seems like a wrong conclusion to me. It doesn't seem like it fits his personality pre memory loss. It's a huge plothole. It's also the reason why some of us side with him or against him. Because we don't have all the informations. We don't know the rules of the clan (maybe he wasn't allowed to contact? Or ever allowed to tell what/who he was? Honam also seemed terrified of his father or maybe their relationship was weirdly written and it was never the case?) was he told he could do whatever he wanted once he was human so that's why he was so hell bent on it? Who knows. And that's the problem, no one knows. Ahhh, such a frustrating side of the story.

If you don't like the plot, or the fact that Jaekyung will have a redemption arc... Why are some of you still reading? You know there are worst semes out there, wayyy worst than JK ever was (and that's saying something), and they are in some of the best rated mangas and manhwas out there.
I can't tell if this website is filled more and more by a new generation that don't know that they can stop reading something they don't like or that the new generation is too drama addict to stop.
Either way, maybe you should concider dropping it if you don't like it and if you really want to know how it ends, concider coming back once the manhwa is complete, someone will have a well written resume in the top comments by then with all the trigger warnings to avoid and probably the chapters to avoid for some of these. In the meantime, find something fluffy to tend to your soul, getting annoyed on every chapter because JK is being an AH or because the author likes writting toxic characters will only make you waste your time and become bitter.
