Pls try to understand it from Miria sake. She is one of the fingers of the judge, an alien god, a super race who live long and do not have children. They don’t understand what children are and need. Miria first time having child and she try very best. Not once, she think about grief when dealing with Mori, something that us human has developed skills and methods to deal with. She is also someone who calm most of the time, who seem to alway control her emotions, and always try to follow what is technically her father. Her confliting nature is her arc, which she must overcome
Oh no noo I don't have anything against Miria, it's just the perfect scene showing Miria's hesitation, and then Mori calling for her and ending up like that, and the chapter ending right at that moment-- as you've said, next part will probably on how she'll overcome her conflicting nature. I think the author did well, cause I felt Miria's conflicted emotions as well (as a reader), hence, the frustration. That's all~
