Okay I need some opinions. Rn I feel like this story is one of those misogynistic stories. Where the male lead is an asshole to girls aka their girlfriends but to mc (male) they're suddenly loyal kind and everything nice.
I hate when authors do this type of background to the ml. At the end of the day he's a shitty partner
I think it's not really misogynistic because you have to consider the fact that the ML himself acknowledged that he was an asshole because he wasn't rlly in love w his exes, also considering that he didn't think he was gay/bi until he tried it out with the MC. I mean, yes he was a shitty partner, he himself says so and even said he wanted to treat the MC better than he did before.
Tbh, so far I have read the ML have quite a bit of selfawareness. People can be shitty partners with some and good with others. Its all about compatibility and experience imo, I'm bi but I haven't been approached by any gender but my opp sex. If I hadn't been aware that I find some people of my same sex attractive, I would have never realized I'm bi. Some people find out quite late in life bc they never get a chance or think in that direction at all. My past hetero relationships have been toxic and we were shitty partners to eo if I suddenly date a same sex partner and we are super compatible, it won't suddenly make my experience man/woman hating. I mean it could look that way, but that isn't the intention. People do have a string of failed relationships before finding a good one, genders don't play into it.

This changed my perspective. Thank you for explaining that super well. I've watched too many bl with ml always being a shtty person to women that it genuinely angers me. I don't like it when authors do that but now I understand (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

Update; I've changed my mind. I mean yes he's still a shtty partner to his ex gfs but I don't think it's misogynistic
