His ex manager died due to a fire. We donāt know exactly what happened yet but not everyone handles grief the same. The author is doing an amazing job portraying what itās like to feel remorse, guilt, shame, etc. This isnāt your typical āoh I have to ask for forgiveness now or else Iāll regret it.ā Heās already deadā¦ that just complicates things more and heās going nuts trying to find out what to do. He already knows he was in the wrong, all he can do is forgive himself and learn from his mistakes.
