I think they have a human form like you know when the prof shot the dog/wolf thing it was bc he didnt know that it was him so when he went back into his dog?wolf form the prof was super shoked so I think that the humans just don't know that animals have two different forms, 1 is the animal form. The other is the human with ear and/or tail. I also think the human form depends on the size of the anime bc we saw how small the cages were for the rabbit and snake compared to the human so they must be like super small or something.
