So when Andrew was young, his father got popular as a politician through a family-raising TV show. The directors of that show were Derrick's parents, who are famous. So Andrew visited the Taylors' house often to film the show, and overall people would compare the two because Andrew was a polite and mature kid while Derrick seemed starved for attention. Once, Derrick broke one of the toy plane props they were using for the show and he felt angry that people kept whispering about how different they are.

I know this is LATE, but honestly no you aren't exaggerating in the slightest. It's genuinely tiring to see so much racism and it's going to be excused/not as called out because most of the population in China is Chinese people and the 2 percent who are foreigners are either white and other east Asians (very very few black people in the foreigner population). This was released in 2019 and sadly I can't find the authors/artist social media accounts but I hope they changed because this is atrocious. It's such a shame the art is so pretty too.
